Schedule of talks and sessions at AIR’s first annual forum for artists, taking place at Firstsite, Colchester, CO1 1UE on 11 February 2012, 1 - 4pm.

"OpenAIR will provide a platform for artists' dialogue and debate, empowered and enabled through a range of speakers drawn from very different disciplines and fields of work but all committed to campaigning for effective change."

Outline of the day:

1.00 - 1.15 : Introduction : Sally Sheinman (Chair of AIR) and Richard Layzell (event orchestrator) www.rescen.net

1.15 - 1.45 : Keynote: Carrie Bishop, FutureGov www.wearefuturegov.com

1.45 - 2.15 : Action presenters (10 minutes each)

2.15 - 3.15 : Action workshops running simultaneously, 20 people per group

Workshop facilitators:

  • Tessy Britton
  • Dan Mcquillan
  • Josie Appleton
  • Manick Govinda (arts admin and a-n board)
  • Esther Salamon (former chair of a-n)
  • Judith Stewart (Artists' Support Researcher for firstsite in Colchester, Associate Lecturer at University of the Arts London, Sessional Tutor at UEA, and teaches Art History courses for the WEA)

3.15 - 3.25 : Break

3.25 - 4.00 : Plenary

4.00 - 5.30 : Drinks and networking in bar at Firstsite
